Kubuntu 8.10 : Get Ready for Eye Candy

Yes its out now, Kubuntu 8.10 is released

After trying KDE4 on Kubuntu 8.04, I just can’t wait to get hold of formal Kubuntu release with KDE 4.  Its not only about looks though it has lot of improvements from nevigation point of view as well.

I am already downloading it. So go and grab your copy now :)

    Not even considering switching to KDE 4 until at least KDE 4.2.
    They’ve rushed KDE 4. Seems pointless to me making a KDE release which lacks so many more features than KDE 3.

    It’s not good enough to just look the part…

    While I agree with you about the rush (missing applications, broken Bluetooth support etc), still it can be used for most of general day to day computing needs without any issues. Having said that i do have my main setup still using Kubuntu 8.04 with KDE 3.2 but that’s why the lives CD’s are for.

    They need to start somewhere and we gotta encourage them.
